60% of FanDuel employees took action on their finances within six months.

FanDuel's wellbeing strategy, "Be well, live well, save well," set out to support every employee's health in the broadest sense, and "save well" specifically meant taking financial health as seriously as physical and mental health.
Simply adding financial health support to the benefits program wouldn't be enough. FanDuel's workforce ranges from early-career employees making their first financial decisions to senior leaders managing investments and equity, and the same support rarely lands the same way for everyone. Employees had to know the support existed and see it as built for people like them, something generic, one-size-fits-all communications couldn't achieve.
That meant finding a financial health platform that felt relevant from day one and reached every part of the workforce, not just the employees most likely to seek it out.
FanDuel rolled out nudge's financial health platform as the foundation of "save well," giving every employee personalized, impartial financail guidancewhen they needed it most.
Targeted pre-launch communications led into live "Intro to nudge" masterclasses, where a 30-minute interactive walkthrough and Q&A gave employees the confidence to start using nudge straight away.
FanDuel's "Rookie Card" campaign, a weekly email series presenting new benefits as baseball cards, dedicated a week to nudge, making the launch messaging more relevant and easier to understand.
Money masterclasses were also tailored to specific employee communities rather than run as one-size-fits-all sessions. These included a session for the BOLD community (Black Organization for Leadership and Development) and a "Pride and prosperity" masterclass for LGBTQIA+ employees, alongside a festive finances masterclass that helped employees plan for holiday spending. Each session drew 100 to 400 employees, proof that when support reflects people's own financial realities, they show up for it.
FanDuel's approach then became the blueprint for every other market and workforce in the wider business. In each new location, employees chose to become nudge ambassadors, encouraging colleagues to join masterclasses and take their first steps toward better financial health.
