June 2023, PepsiCo has partnered with global financial health platform nudge to build a more consistent and personalized approach to financial health for employees across its diverse global workforce.
The program responds to a challenge faced by many multinational employers: financial support can vary considerably between markets, while employees themselves have very different financial circumstances, priorities, and ways of accessing workplace communications.
PepsiCo’s workforce includes frontline, salaried, and management employees across different financial systems, languages, and benefits environments. Together, PepsiCo and nudge developed Healthy Money, a financial health program designed to build financial confidence and resilience while helping employees better understand and use their workplace benefits.
The program combines impartial, personalized guidance with a global approach that can be localized by market.
Reaching frontline employees is a particular priority. The rollout uses multiple channels, including QR codes and locally activated communications, to make support accessible to employees who may not have regular access to company email or a corporate network.
Financial guidance is also connected more closely with PepsiCo’s wider benefits and support, helping employees understand not just what is available to them, but how those resources relate to their individual financial circumstances.
Jeremy Beament, CCO and Co-founder of nudge, said:
“No two employees experience money in exactly the same way, particularly across a workforce of this scale and diversity. PepsiCo’s approach recognizes that global consistency and individual relevance have to work together. Healthy Money gives people personalized guidance that can help them understand their options, connect with the support available to them, and take action to improve their financial health.”
The program creates a foundation PepsiCo can continue to expand across markets while using employee needs and insights to shape future financial health activity.
