February 2024, nudge has launched its global AI money coach, giving employees instant access to impartial financial education and support through a conversational AI experience.

Available on the nudge platform, the AI money coach gives employees a new way to ask questions about their money and receive relevant, up-to-date information when they need it; helping make financial education more immediate, accessible, and personal.

The launch marks the next step in nudge’s investment in technology and personalization, using AI to complement its existing financial education experience, and help employees navigate financial questions with greater confidence.

Financial education when employees need it

Financial questions rarely arrive at a convenient time.

An employee might be trying to understand how their retirement plan works, considering how to manage debt, thinking about saving for a home, or simply trying to make sense of a change in their financial circumstances.

The AI money coach gives them somewhere to start.

Rather than searching through multiple resources, employees can ask a question conversationally, and receive impartial financial education through nudge.

Camille Chatakondu, Product Director at nudge, said:

“The AI money coach gives employees a simple way to ask those questions when they arise and get impartial, relevant information straight away. It’s an exciting step in making financial education more personal and accessible for people wherever they are.”

Impartial by design

As with all nudge financial education, impartiality is fundamental to the experience.

The AI money coach is there to educate rather than advise. It does not sell financial products or recommend specific providers; its role is to help employees better understand financial topics, explore their options, and build the confidence to make their own decisions.

That distinction is particularly important as AI becomes a bigger part of the way people find and interact with financial information.

The approach remains consistent with how nudge describes the AI money coach today; employees can ask questions and receive impartial, validated, and up-to-date information about their finances and benefits.

Built for a global workforce

For global employers, the launch creates an opportunity to make personalized financial education more accessible across increasingly diverse workforces.

By combining AI with nudge’s financial expertise and technology, employees can access support at the moment a question arises rather than waiting for a webinar, appointment, or other scheduled intervention.

It also builds on nudge’s wider approach to personalization; helping employees receive financial education that is increasingly relevant to who they are and what matters to them.

The launch of the AI money coach represents another step toward a more immediate and personalized financial education experience; using technology to help more people build the knowledge and confidence to make better financial decisions.
