June 2020, nudge has launched a friends and family feature that lets employees invite their loved ones to access nudge for themselves.
nudge believes good financial health is critical not just for employees, but for the people in their lives. The finances of family and friends have a real effect on employees’ own financial wellbeing, and decisions around budgeting, saving, investing, housing, and retirement affect entire households, not just individuals.
Friends and family premium reflects that reality. It gives employees the opportunity to invite up to five people to set up their own personal nudge account, with access to the same personalized financial education and money management tools.
Tim Perkins, Co-founder, nudge, comments:
There is no reason why financial education shouldn’t be available for everyone. Our friends and family premium feature provides your people with the tools and resources to help their loves ones thrive.
Once enabled, employees can add their chosen contacts directly to their nudge profile. Each contact receives a notification inviting them to set up their own free account. From there, they can access impartial financial education in their own language, with content relevant to where they live.
As one of the first organizations to enable this new feature, Sian Gandhi, Retirement and Benefits Specialist at BNP Paribas, comments:
We wanted to provide our employees with resources to help them deal with the rising cost of living. However, as we know that finance is rarely an individual topic as family and friends are part of financial wellbeing too, we wanted to extend the same support to their loved ones.
Friends and family premium follows on from nudge’s financial health checkup, introduced earlier this year, and reflects nudge’s continued focus on building financial wellbeing support that extends beyond a single employee to the people who matter to them.
