September 2024, Microsoft has partnered with global financial health platform nudge to give employees personalized, impartial financial guidance, helping people build confidence and make better financial decisions throughout their working lives.

The program is built around a global framework that can flex to different financial moments, employee needs, and local realities. It gives Microsoft a consistent approach across its workforce while recognizing that financial systems, legislation, benefits, and employee priorities vary significantly between markets.

Through nudge, employees can access personalized guidance across everyday money management, savings, workplace benefits, and longer-term priorities such as retirement.

One global framework, relevant to individual employees

Financial priorities change throughout a person’s working life. They also vary significantly depending on where someone lives and works.

Rather than relying solely on generic information, nudge uses personalization and behavioral science to help employees understand the financial topics relevant to them and what they can do next.

Microsoft’s approach combines that personalization with coordinated global activity, creating greater consistency across regions while allowing financial health support to respond to local needs.

Tim Perkins, CEO and Co-founder of nudge, said:

“Microsoft understands that supporting financial health isn’t simply about giving people more information. It’s about helping each person understand what matters to them and what they can do next. Together, we can bring personalized financial guidance to employees at scale, while creating an experience that remains relevant to the different financial realities people face around the world.”

The launch strengthens nudge’s work with global employers looking to move beyond fragmented financial support towards a more connected and personalized approach to employee financial health.
